DRDO Robotics Competition 2017

DRUSE 2017 – Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) wishes to harness the multifaceted talent available in the country on Robotics and Unmanned systems. DRDO aims to tap these indigenous capabilities to create a platform for the development of futuristic defence systems. The objective of this exposition is to identify and nurture novel ideas in different parts of our country. This is an exposition of ideas to support our defence forces to gain the decisive edge in future warfare. This exposition targets national talent among student community from engineering background currently undergoing UG or PG only.

Objective of DRUSE – DRDO Robotics and Unmanned Systems Exposition (DRUSE) is designed to serve as an open platform to popularize and synergize the national talent in the areas of robotics amongst Students for conceptualization, design & development of Unmanned Systems for defence applications. It aims primarily:
To provide nationwide platform for participants to show case their best
To educate community about the importance of Robotics in today’s scenario and popularize the field and related technologies for defence applications
To encourage innovative ideas and indigenous efforts
Identify promising potential who can work for DRDO in the development of unmanned systems for defence applications
Opportunity to learn and assess current national status and potentials in the field of Robotics specifically related to the defence applications
Identify technology gaps and infrastructure for indigenous development of Robotic systems for defence application

Who can Participate – Engineering students presently pursing UG or PG and led by a senior Faculty

Important Dates for DRUSE 2017 Event-
Registration & submission of proposal (Online) opens on – 14.10.2017
Last date of submission – 15.01.2018 by 1700 hrs. IST.
Declaration of first level screening results – 31.01.2018
Second level of screening at zonal centres i.e. zonal level competitions – 24.03.2018 to 15.04.2018
Declaration of finalists for Third level of screening (National level competition) – 16.04.2018
National level competition & Evaluation of Exhibits at DRDO HQ New Delhi – 10.05.2017
Declaration of Winners & Award Ceremony for zonal & National Level – 11.05.2017

National Level Awards –
First Prize – 1.5 Lakh
Second Prize – 1.0 Lakh
Third Prize – 0.5 Lakh
Each Participating Team – Rs. 20,000/-

Zonal Level Awards –
First Prize – Rs. 30,000/-
Second Prize – Rs. 25,000/-
Third Prize – Rs. 20,000/-
Fourth Prize – Rs. 15,000/-
Fifth Prize – Rs. 10,000/-
Each Participating Team – Rs. 10,000/-
